Well I got tagged for the first time so I am totally filling it out! Thanks Tiff!
1. Where did you meet your husband?
We met in our singles ward back in San Diego. I was down for the semester from BYU-I, which I wasn't planning on doing but changed my mind at the last minute. I had my apartment and everything, then was promted to go home for the semester. We knew of each other in the singles ward but didn't really talk much because I had a serious promise ring on at the time. We "re-met" up at BYU-I when he applied at the last minute and was accepted. We were both buying books and waited in the huge line together.
2. What was the first thing you said to him?
I don't remember but I am sure it was something very casual since I was not looking to date.
3. Where was your first date? Kiss?
Well, when I finally decided to date a little we made tentitive plans to go out to the sand dunes in a couple days but that weekend I ended having a very bad asthma attack (I didn't know I had it at the time) and was in the hospital for the weekend. He called me to go out and my roommates failed to mention where I was so he thought I was blowing him off. Finally a month later he called again. We went to dinner at Bajios, then Cold Stone and then to a concert on campus by an LDS group called the Five Browns. They are a family who are all amazing at the piano. We held hands during the concert, my move, and it was love from there!

Then three days later I kissed him in the gardens on campus under the stars.
4.Did you have a long or short courtship?
We had very short courtship. We knew right away that we wanted to get married but he waited a month to propose and would have gotten married the next month. Due to family issues and the wedding of some close friends(you know who you are!) we waited four months. Our great friend would have killed us if we planned our wedding anywhere near hers, lov ya babe!
5. Where did you get engaged?
It was in those same gardens I mentioned. We loved sitting by a particular pond at night. We were sitting there and he just popped the question out of no where. I was so suprised the I almost fell in the pond which would have been really bad because it was freezing! He didn't have the ring with him because he totally wasn't planning on doing it then so we drove back to his apartment to get it. I wasn't suprised he did it in general, just that he did it then.

6.Where did you get married?
We were married in the San Diego Temple on March 29, 2006
7. How did the reception go?
Well, nothing like I planned. See we were originally going to get married on May 4th and have the reception the 5th. When we changed the wedding date, it was decided that the reception would have to stay in May due to many factors. So it was really strange having it so long after the wedding. Not as many people made it because of the confusion with the dates but it was still fun.
I was actually pregnant at the time though I did not know for sure, so I was sick the whole night. Looking back I would have done it differently but I will always remember it.
8. How was the honeymoon?
Before we changed the wedding date we had booked a cruise that left the night after the reception. There was no way we were cancelling that so we ended up having two honeymoons. After the wedding we stayed at a beautiful little resort in San Diego called Paradise Point. It was so wonderful and looked just like Hawaii. On our way back to Idaho we stayed at the Little America hotel in Salt Lake City during General Conference. This hotel doesn't look like much on the outside but it was the most amazing and beautiful hotel I have even been to. A little treasure hidden downtown.
A month later we went on our cruise which was fabulous. It was a Mexican Riveriera cruise so we stopped in Mazitlan, Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. I had never been on a cruise before and now I would not do a vacation any other way!
*We have been happily married for almost two years now with a one year old daughter. I would not have done it any other way!
Now I am tagging everyone I know!!!!

You are so awesome for doing the tag. And yay I know I was a poop but I would have been so frustrated if you guys got married before we did since we were engaged for so darn long! Hyrum is so slow! But I love him for it!
That is so cute! You guys are so sweet! I loved hearing about your SD wedding. It made me homesick! I also love that you guys were pregnant at your reception. Hilarious. I mean that does not normally happen at an LDS reception, but if we all had the reception four months after the wedding, well then it would be common place:) Also thanks for the tip about the hotel in Salt Lake. Dave and I are going to be celebrating out 10 year anniversary next week. Maybe we should go and stay there!
I loved learniing a bit more about you and Dave. I love that you were the one putting the moves on him!
Thanks for sharing your fun marriage story. You are awesome!
