Story time

It was a little before 2pm today and I was getting ready for my visiting teacher to come over. I was telling Evelynn that since she wouldn't take a nap she needed to be good and play on her own while we were visiting.

Thankfully she was already starting to do that when my teacher arrived. While we were visiting I heard Evelynn go upstairs and into her room to play with her toys. I was so glad that she had listened to meand was being good. During the visit I continued to listen for Evelynn upstairs to make sure she was still playing. Well Michael got hungry so I started to feed him while talking. Then I realize it was getting quiet upstairs. But I thought to myself that I would continue to feed Michael and check on Evelynn later. Before I was able to do that she came downstairs and I could tell she has stuff on her face. She looked very proud and told me "cream!" I figured she had found some lotion and helped herself. I wasnttoo upset but I still couldn't see her too well. As she got closer I realized it wasn't lotion. It was her expensive prescription diaper cream. She had it all over, head to toe! I was so embarassed and tried to hurry and clean her up while still visiting.

Fast forward to after my teacher leaves. I decided to take Evelynn upstairs and give her a bath. I go into my room where the changing table is and see her cream ALL over the place! All over the mat, the floor, the walls etc. And worse of all, the bottle was empty. Now this bottle costs $30 even with insurance! I was so frustrated I just shut the door and now I am waiting for Dave to get home so I can show him. I totally know better than to not check on her when she gets quiet but today really made that sink in!
