I just finished rocking Michael to sleep and I got to thinking how blessed I am to have him. He turned 3 months old today and I am continually amazed at how fast he is growing and how healthy he is. I know I have mentioned to some of you how I believe he is our miracle boy but I want to explain the reasons I believe that.
1. I almost miscarried him in the beginning of my pregnancy but my doctor was able to save him.
2. At 29 weeks I starting having some preterm labor and was put on bed rest. Thankfully it was stopped.
3. I went into labor 3 1/2 weeks early and it came on so suddenly we barely made it to the hospital. When he was born he had breathing trouble and needed to be taken to the nursery and given a breathing treatment. If he had been born in the car we might not have been able to help him in time.
4. When he was born we discovered he had a complete knot in his umbilical cord and the doctor said it was a miracle he was alive because that will normally cut off a baby's air supply.
So many things could have ended our baby's life and yet he was spared over and over. I cannot believe how blessed we are and I thank the Lord for our beautiful boy every day. I just wanted to share those special feelings with all of you.

I have seen things like that over and over. The Lord really is in control of things and knows just how to help! You have two adorable kids!
I enjoyed the day I was able to take care of him. I had no idea about most of this, but I did feel that he was an angel baby when I had him that day! He couldn't have been any better! :)
He is such a special boy! Give him all the lovin' you want- you can't spoil a baby!!!
What a sweet boy to have bless your lives! That is amazing that you went through all that and I know that you will better appreciate every moment with him because of those experiences. Thanks for sharing them!
